QR codeshare with Indigo question
Hi all,
I have a question about QR codesharing with 6E. I have upcoming travel from MAA-DOH-JFK. The entire itinerary was booked with QR and the first leg is on 6E.
I am traveling with an expired green card and a USCIS I-797 notice extending my validity by 4 years. From all that I've read this shouldn't be a problem to travel with as combined they are valid proof of permanent residency.
But I'm worried about Indigo knowing about the I-797 extension notice and causing problems at check-in. If the whole segment was on QR it may have been better since they are an international carrier.
In this case does Indigo perform document checks and issue boarding passes for the DOH-JFK leg as well or do I get boarding passes at DOH for the second leg? Should I expect any issues and just change my flight to fully QR metal? Also it would be helpful if anyone has flown in this situation before and can share their experiences with Indigo or other India-based airlines.
Thanks in advance.

I have no direct experience but Indigo has a ton of codeshare agreements with foreign airlines but especially with QR and TK where they have to check in people in India and then fly them to DOH/IST for onward connections (the US probably being a large amount of them). I wouldnt worry about them not knowing. Indians and Green Cards / H1B go hand and hand. You will not have been the first.
