Anyone know what routes the A350s are going to be put on? Can they do the DEL-N America routes that need the extra oxygen?

While AI doesn't share any strategic information with me... I can't imagine what other routes they would do. Currently, BOM has only new widebodies flying to the US.

So the A350s must be going to DEL. After which they'll send their 77Ws for the much needed upgrade.

The first A350 is expected to be inducted into the fleet this year... but they'll probably start flying to the US early next year.

Makes the most sense unless they plan to launch fully new routes with the 350s and get the EY/SQ 77Ws to replace their current fleet.

AI just added a lot of capacity to their DEL-US routes. Perhaps utilizing the 77Ws freed up from BOM-US routes.

We'll get to know soon enough because it looks like the A350s could be flying long haul from Jan/Feb next year at the pace they're going about this.

It seems the 6 A359 will be based in DEL. Since the training of crew takes a while there will be a lot training/check flights with A359 on the trunk routes (CCU/BOM/BLR) in the beginning.

The underside (under carriage??? belly????) of the plane looks so cool. I'm glad to see AI is making this kind of effort.
