Jet flight changed to JetLite
Hi,
I've just received an email from Jet Airways saying 'We regret to inform you that the schedule for the below mentioned Jet Airways flight has been changed.'
The only difference I can see is that the new details say 'Operated by JetLite'. The flight numbers also now have an additional '2' at the front of them, but the timings are the same. I'd originally booked business class tickets, but am confused because a) I thought JetLite didn't have business class cabins, and b), more importantly, I thought JetLite didn't exist anymore!
Any idea what might be going on...? If it helps, am flying BOM > UDR on 28/10/18, returning on 03/11/18.
Thanks in advance!

Is it JetLite (9W’s orginal LCC) or JetKonnect (Air Sahara)? Either ways I think both those companies exist for business reasons - aircraft ownership/lease and other complicated things.
9W has retired the brands though after the debacle of trying to explain to customers why they were getting the LCC treatment despite having got tickets for “Jet”. It was comical. I don’t know whose idea it was but it was over 3000 kinds of dumb.
Since all that has passed they have fitted all the S2 and aircraft with standard jet seats 8J and remaining Y on typical A320/B737 types. I don’t think they’ve done the sneaky thing AI has done with the European J type of seating on some of their aircraft.
I think you’re being informed it’s a JetKonnect flight because that company technically owns/leases the aircraft but it’s going to be in a standard JetAirways hard and soft product.

this is just a system generated message when a plane swap would have happened to one of the 5 planes still on the books of s2. they have not been able to close the airline due to some government interference.

As an aside, I'm arriving on a BA flight. Do I need to go through immigration, get my bag, and effectively re-enter the airport and check-in again? Or can I clear immigration and transfer without coming out in arrivals?
