Do Jet fares drop close-in?

Looking to fly KTM-DEL-ATQ on Oct 27th.

It's $130 for a 6 hr layover in DEL -- 12:15pm-2pm / 8:05pm-9.15pm. But it's $315 for a much better 1+hr layover in DEL 5:15pm-6:50pm / 8:05pm-9.15pm.

Jet.com shows that almost all flights from KTM-ATQ are sold out in all but the highest inventory on this day and other dates around there. Is this because of some holiday?

If we buy the ticket with the bad 6 hr layover, what are the chances we could pay the $30 change fee and get on a better connection at some point? Do these inventories tend to open up?

fares will not drop close-in....also, 9w will not allow you to change flights by paying just the change fee....they will also collect the fare difference between the old & new fare....

Thanks. Any idea why fares are higher than normal around late October?

Interesting. Looking at the calendar... it's holiday season in between these two festivals even?

I suppose walk-up fares on Jet won't be cheap... if available.

pretty much....schools are closed for a week each for both holidays....people generally take their annual vacation during this period....

walk up fares are definitely not going to be cheap....
