It's pretty sad how they treat their employee are actually getting screwed not being paid for their work completed for 3 months.. I hope they get compensated.. even it means they need to sell off their dilapidated equipment.

Updates from the fiasco:
- AI wants to buy 9Ws 77Ws.... US Exim Bank wants them back since 9W won’t be able to repay the 2000 CR loan that they want back right away... but this might be a good settlement for everyone
- “Debtors Corner” at BOM is now filled with 9W aircraft (for the past few weeks) so much so that they’ve probably moved the KingFisher plane from there to elsewhere (or maybe even finally managed to sell off for peanuts)
Is AI now looking at flying the very lucrative BOM-LHR route which is now completely underserved? They probably won’t have any interest in AMS or FRA/MUC or some of the other int routes that 9W did like PNQ-SIN (too small to fly 77Ws and route ruled by 6E). On the plus side it does mean fewer broken seats on the flights (assuming 9W didn’t stop maintaining them).

Creditors have first dibs on assets down to the last pencil. Employees are near bottom of the list.

AI planning to add LHR, DXB and SIN flights from DEL & BOM using 9W's 77Ws plus a few Alliance Air routes using their 737s.
They are planning to wet lease so they will get 9W crew as well.
Let's see if they can reach an agreement with SBI and team.
Given the no. of aircraft AI has grounded because they are unable to pay for maintenance this might be god sent for them!

Politics make strange bedfellows ! You never know AI (Govt) may make a deal with EY giving them something in return.

EY always owned those slots. They bought it from 9W when they took stake for about $70 mil and gave it back to 9W to use.
AI does fly to FRA and not to MUC. I was speculating on where they could fly the 10-12 77Ws they were planning to wet lease from 9W. Both are *G hubs whereas AMS isn’t.

Jet has the title to 10 B77W but they are collateral to the loan Citi and others have them to buy them. Air India has crew qualified to fly B77W but themselves went thru a restructuring to cut B77L routes. It would be stupid for AI to expand now.

They’ve already officially asked SBI for 5 planes.
LHR and possibly SIN I think are fairly profitable routes from BOM & DEL. They should absolutely try to get them.
EXIM Bank has asked for the 2000 CR loan back but Citi/EXIM may be happy if they’re paid the installments again (with a slight hiccup) rather than have 7-8 large planes to deal with.

I am really surprised that after losing some value over last 2 days, 9W stock is going up again. I was thinking it will lose all it's value in no time. What am I missing?
