Increase in JP miles needed for redemption

I noticed recently that JP has increased miles needed for overseas sectors e.g. DEL-LHR used to be 27K/54K miles in economy/business but now it is 42.5K

It suddnely devalues the miles by 50%. Have others noticed the same?

Also: redemption charts are very weird. Delhi to Cairo costs you 35K miles (on EY flight) and Amman to Delhi back costs you 46K miles despite it being closer and both flights are on EY and both are through AUH.

good morning again. these changes were made a year back where 9W discontinued charging fuel surcharges but instead raised the redemption levels.

its been more than a year since these changes took place....i believe jet even sent an email to all members informing them about the changes....while the number of miles required went up for most international sectors, the domestic sectors mostly saw a reduction in the number of miles needed per flight....jet also got rid of yq which was a welcome change....

I see. Haven't redeemed JP miles for sometime so did not notice.
So are 9W redemptions now (without YQ) better than say *A redemption for the same sector?

mate, that depends on which *A program out of the 26 you want to redeem from. no apple-apple comparison there.
