This *was* the DB-M+M card.

If you maintain SEN status, no fee.

However, LH keeps upping the requirements for upgrades using miles, and soon (September 2012) will stop allowing Z-class (and P-class as well, I would assume) from being upgraded into First... :td:

(This is *after* they raised India-Germany Z to F upgrades from 50k miles to 65k miles!)

Here is the 2nd in the series of this review posting: http://boardingarea.com/blogs/livefr...s-credit-card/

Well written, and another nice read. Thanks for sharing! I'm curious if they'll let a non-Indian Citizen (I have my PAN card and OCI status) hold this card. I do receive income in India and have an established residency there, although I actually live in the US for 99% of the year.

Just thinking of how much I could possibly mint by using this for my day-to-day purchases (assuming a card with no/minimal foreign fees) makes me smile...

Yes, they should.

Further note that most Indian credit cards now charge 3.5% on foreign transactions - which should make you think twice about using them in the US!

However, there are so many other and better options in the US - use them and benefit!

Credit cards accruing FFPs with airline alliances

Folks

Are there any Credit Cards in India on which one can accrue FF miles on the FFP of any Star Alliance OR Oneworld member airline?

Thanks and happy 2013!

Thank you! This is very useful.

Just another clarification. I assume there are no CCs linked to a specific *Alliance or OW airline, am I correct?

rathin100 Jan 1, 2013 11:01 pm

Actually I found a website www.ratekhoj.com. I see there are also LH and EK cards on offer but the earn rate us best on premiermiles. So thank you, again!

Besides the JP HDFC CC & JP ICICI CC, I know of the following 3:

* EK CC by StandardChartered
* BA Premium CC by ICICI (OW, also on AMEX)
* Miles & More CC (*A) by IndusIndBank (after they acquired Deutsche Bank's CC division)
