You require 90 days / 90 posts on FT to have a signature.

Besides the above method that i suggested, FD has activated a new feature that allows users to Import / Export their data using a CSV file. Do check it out.

Thanks! Tried it out and went mostly smoothly except for some stuttering on importing S2 and PNW flights. Got 80-odd imported in, have another 10 to do manually

how did you export the flightmemory data?

Also is there a template for the .CSV files for flight diary?

But, here is the best alternative to manually feeding all the info:

1. Created a new account with both- OpenFlights & FlightDiary.
2. Using the 'Import' option on OF, get the data from your FlightMemory A/c to the new OF A/c.
3. Repeat the same procedure in FlightDiary, except you will now import from OF.

In short: FM >> OF >> FD
You may use all 3 and then decide which is the best database as per your liking.

Dear Whizkid, please the 1st quoted section on how to export flightmemory data. Its not a perfect method but it gets most of the flights exported fine

Thanks,

I found 2 issues,

1. Defunct airlines (Paramount & Air Deccan) are getting imported and available in FD when you enter manually.

2. The Dates of the Flights are not getting imported to FD from OF (Which is a big issue for me)

Any one faced the same issues? - Any Workarounds?

Wow, its been about 10 days since I last visited FD... They have had a major overhaul..!

1. Until a while ago, S2 was listed as Air Sahara and G8 was listed as Gujarat Airways. (Send a Feedback & the admin will update the database after verification)

2. Check the parameters / format requirements for OF vs FD (dd-mm-yyyy, mm-dd-yyyy, or others) and then in the MS Excel file, select the entire date series and format it in the matching pattern. To format text in MS Excel, highlight the data>> right click>> "Format Cells">> Select "Date">> Select the appropriate format.

PS: If you contact the admin in FD using the "Send Feedback" option, they are quick to revert & help-out.

Thanks.

Another option missing in FD wrt OF is a option to delete all the entries. Like wipe all data. It would have been much helpful to try out the import feature - not I'm forced to delete each lines seperatly

Like i mentioned earlier, use the "Send Feedback" option. They may be able to reset your logs.

Also, try using the Banner into your 'signature' block.
