MAA DXB 9w J?
I was looking at MAA-DXB but couldn't find J (Direct). I tried a few dates too but to no avail. Is this something specific to MAA or to the date range? HYD-DXB seems to have J

Looks like a jetkonnect flight (likely all Y config)? MAA-DXB usually has far more dirt cheap economy than J traffic.

During the downturn and reconfigurations of planes to Jet Konnect, 9W opted to use High density All Y configs from MAA-DXB and HYD-DXB (I think is 175 or 178 seats)
They have reinstated 2 cabin service on HYD-DXB but not on MAA-DXB. Although when they had it, it was by far the worst 9W flight I had ever taken.
Catering was loaded from MAA for both sectors (meant that one was eating 7-8 hour old food ex DXB which tasted very bad). On my last DXB-MAA flight, 22 pax were upgraded and both Biz class fare paying PAX were stuck in seats with non-functional AVOD which the crew new before take off. I made some fuss about this and ask them why they couldn't have reassigned us, and finally was given a seat with functioning screens. They ran out of glasses and started uses plastic cups and serving economy meals - it was just chaos.

Thanks for all the info folks. Am now thinking whether it's worth doing MAA-BOM-DXB so we could do a comfortable J at least on the BOM-DXB leg or just ditch all this fly EK or EY
There seems to be a promo on EY using Citibank PremierMiles card - Y to J upgrade

EK is very expensive for a biz ticket on MAA-DXB, althought with ICE on many flights at the chauffeur drive it is a great option.
EY is only available for those who have visa that will permit clearance at AUH (most hotel sponsored visa's and online Visa's are for DXB entry online - this only applies to Indian citizens). EY will give biz pax a chauffuer drive to DXB, but operates a short haul plane (with AVOD) on MAA-AUH.
Your cheapest biz fare would be QR though via DOH.
