Jet Privilege Points

New here. what does one do with their Jet privelege points. We have tried 3 times to use them. Last time was trying to book a flight a month out. They said we had to send in a request. Then if approved would put us on a list and then we would be notified. How can one book an important business trip that way.......so husband asked me to look into how to get rid of these points. Any idea?........thanks. We are in Ontario, Canada.

First you need to confirm availability. If Jet Airways cannot confirm availability immediately over the phone, an alternative if to call American Airlines (800-433-7300) who is a partner with Jet Airways. Tell American Airlines that you are calling to check award space availability. Give them your specific origin, destination, dates, class of service and number of passengers. Then proceed to tell the agent that you specifically want to check availability on partner Jet Airways and no other airline.

If AA confirms positive space availability on Jet Airways, note that information down and tell AA agent that you will call back to make the reservation to end the call. Then proceed to call Jet Airways to book the same flights using Jet Privileges miles. Hope this helps.

The method of making awards is to me an important factor in selecting a FFP, almost a deal breaker. I think QR also does this. Award seats disappear so often it takes too much time to send a form back and forth.
