Iran Visa for US OCI
Does anybody know the Visa requirements for a USA citizen with OCI documentation? I was told that USA citizens with a PIO card do not need a visa.

Do note that Iran is on the state department's OFAC blacklist and if you're a US citizen there are significant penalties for any kind of business you do with that country.

I too have no idea why this is posted here, since Iran isn't an airline and it isn't in India.
However, I note that I am a US citizen have been to Iran; tourism in Iran is legal and no US law prevents it, But you definitely need a visa, and getting an Iran visa is an interesting and challenging project to say the least. I got it by applying directly, but anyone with any sense would find an Iranian travel agent. (Google "Iran visa".)
Having a PIO card doesn't make the slightest difference, but the guys in the Iranian Interest Section (Pakistani Embassy, Washington) told me that I had a better chance than most because I was ethnically Indian even though I have an US passport. And sure enough, the visa came through.
