First 9w F

Hi all

2 questions in one post (I hope that is allowed!)

1) I'm amazed.. just got my ticket for LHR-BOM-LHR this/next weekend. This is the first time I've ever had F class! :p Any tips on this?

2) Can I earn United frequent flyer miles on 9W or is there a way of transfering JP miles to mileage plus? (isn't that 3 questions or even 4 now!). Probably not but thought I might ask.

Thanks everyone

yes you can....just make sure you quote your united frequent flyer number & not your jp number when you are checking in....

Hi Saad

Thanks for the reply.

I'm interested in any pre flight tips. For example is there a F class lounge at LHR and BOM? Normally on the return I find a hotel close to the airport for one last meal. Is this necessary for F?

Thanks for the news on M+. Do you know if I can transfer my existing JP miles to M+?

look here for info on jet lounges....

both the lounges in london & mumbai are pretty nice but i don't think you can substitute the offerings there for a real meal....the food served on jet first class is very good with lots of choices....you may want to skip the meal before boarding & just eat on the flight....

Well done for making the right choice. ^

Jet F is one of the best. Last time i travelled i was the only pax in the F cabin and from the ground to aircraft and arrivals stages, they treated me royally. They held the J class pax while i deboarded onto my own private bus (one of the few times ive had stairs and not a jetbridge). Got some funny looks but who cares, i was F, they were J.

Im not too sure about the lounges nowadays but in BOM its nothing to shout out about and the London Lounge for Skyteam will not be as impressive as the Etihad Lounge that they used to use at LHR.

But in flight is where you will be impressed. Enjoy and we fully expect a Trip Report with plenty of photos......:D

When are you returning to LHR as my wife is flying Jet F this month.

All
I only wish I could take the credit for chosing F! I requested 9w J but seem to have been bumped by work to F. What a great place to work! :)

I'm returning on 17th.

The london lounge page states "The Wellness centre is available for complimentary use by Jet Airways passengers". What is that about?

Trip report to follow...

Trip report part 1.
Have decided to get the taxi to come 1 hour earlier to sample the lounge!

Slightly OT but has anyone noticed there are no redemption seats in Jet F from DEL all of next year. Not even one date.

Looking at Sabre shows F is for sale everyday instead of the 3-4 times a week now. Are they changing over to the 77W daily? If so why do you think they haven't released any seats yet?
