OneWorld EQM & Tier Points, perhaps?
In any case, for regular flyers (like the denizens of this thread), it beats me why anybody would buy their tickets in India and pay the ridiculous luxury & 'service' taxes to the Babus of North Block? Why not buy the tickets outside India and always get RT tickets? i very often find myself traveling on 2 one way tickets on different airlines, either because of timing or non availability issues....so again, for me personally buying return tickets outside india makes no sense.... |
Slight criticism of Jet F ground service!
Jet F ground service in India is brilliant....they give you a call to enquire about your ETA to the airport to have the porters ready for your luggage. Its a very good system and is a nice touch to take care of your worries as soon as you step out of the cab. They contact you on the telephone numbers in the PNR or FF number.
My wife is currently onboard 9w118 and in her PNR, i had 2 numbers: The destination number was my mobile (UK number) and the origin number was her mobile (Indian number)........guess which one they called first? Yep, you guessed it, i got woken up at 5am this morning by Jet Airways to enquire what time the wifey is arriving at the airport. This is not the first time this has happened to me.....I was on 9W118 on a previous trip and i had my friends number (in the UK) as an emergency contact and they managed to ring him at 5am as well! Jet: You do a fine job but get your staff to use their brains a bit. If the pax is travelling BOM-LHR then contact them on Indian numbers first and then the other numbers if necessary. |

Unfortunately another little let down!
Yesterday on arrival at LHR, My wife was met by a ground handler and escorted to the Immigration Hall. As my wife was entering first time on a spouse visa and as she is Indian, she needed to go through the process of being Xrayed for TB. The ground handler abandoned her at the Immigration Hall where she spent approximately 90 minutes stuck behind a whole load of Indian students. When finally got to the baggage belt, one of her three suitcases was missing and the ground agents had to go behind the scenes to retrieve it. Poor, poor service considering that there were only 2 people in F yesterday. My wife and Shamita Shetty!
The wife stated that the flight was excellent and very relaxing. |
