Jet is supposed to be awesome?
Ok, so I don't get why people keep raving about how good Jet is. Am I missing something here? I just flew DEL - DXB in Y the other day, and was not too impressed with the whole experience.
Meal service was really slow. Took about 30 mins to get four rows done, and the food portions were small, the salad was just tomato and cucumber, and they only had Indian options. Wine and coffee were really bad.
IFE was decent, could have had more options, but sufficient for a short flight. Screen was too small though, and I had to crane my neck to see it. Most irritating thing though was that they completely turned it off about 20 minutes before landing.
No pillows or blankets handed out, but they were available on request. The blanket was really nice. One big plus is the availability of exit row seats during online check in. ^
One of the lavatories was out of order, so only one lavatory for 120 pax
I don't mean to imply by this post that I felt this was an unsatisfactory experience, but I fail too see why many people have the perception that 9W is extraordinary.
PS. My big complaint though is about being unable to earn miles on EK on most domestic flights in India. JetLite, even when bought through Jet as a codeshare flight, doesn't earn miles, and Kingfisher Red flights don't earn any miles either!

DXB from anywhere in India can be a very bad experience at the best of times. Were you traveling J or Y?
PS: Jet's coffee is usually bad. AI's used to be good, but if you don't fly them, their coffee can hardly be of interest ;-)

I've only done Jet in Y and thought they were decent. Had a conversation with a buddy of mine from london tonight, he did bom-lhr last month in F and he wasnt impressed. He said the seat was great, the drinks were fab, but the food and the entertainment was sub par.

I was in Y. I did DXB - DEL on EK in Y a few days before this flight, and that was ok. I think having a bigger, wide body aircraft makes some difference. The 332 did look pretty tired, and the TV&Radio was pretty poor, so maybe I shouldn't compare with long haul flights!

only certain fares on jetlite earn you miles....i think the basic economy fare is not eligable....
not impressed with f class in jet????wow, what does it take to impress this guy????i often fly f in jet on the del-lon route & everything about the experience is great....i think the food served in f is very good & the entertainment choices are great....
