  • Login problems: If you have trouble logging into the Iberia website, type in your number and password by hand instead of using autocomplete. For some people this fixes login issues.
  • Partner awards: Many flights on partners will not be available as one-way. You must redeem AA flights as a round trip for example
  • Cancellations: Iberia awards on AA cannot be cancelled.

USER: Your FT username
OWNER: SELF or WIFE/CHILD/MOM/DAD/etc. Owner of the account (i.e. the name on the account).
ACCT: NEW or OLD. New = created during promo period. Old = created prior to promo period.
YEAR: Optional. Year account opened.
DOCS?: DOCS or NO DOCS. Did you submit identity documentation to IB?
VERIFIED: VERIFIED or UNVERIFIED. Has IB actually verified the docs you submitted yet (via email confirmation)?
POSTED?: POSTED or NOT POSTED. Points posted to account?

It took several hours for Amex to approve the charges for one of the sets of tickets I was booking. I was wondering if Amex would flag the purchases but they did not. I think the Iberia system was overwhelmed. I was a bit surprised there weren't more flags for fraud but I suppose the Amex system is sophisticated enough to pick up that I was buying tickets for people I have traveled with before.

No, the penalty for no-show is higher than the taxes.

I'm having trouble logging into my account. I tried resetting the PIN and it gives me an error. Wonder if they shutting accounts that only opened for the promo?

Actually, I switched to the spanish version and looks like they are doing some "system improvements" until 3pm CET: Let's see what these improvements end up being...

- Si deseas reservar o comprar un billete, podrás hacerlo sólo introduciendo los datos de los pasajeros.
- Si deseas obtener tu tarjeta de embarque utiliza la opción de búsqueda por código de reserva.

Por favor, disculpa las molestias.

This is just a feature of Iberia's wonderful website. I have this problem all the time and have had my IB+ account for several years.
You will probably need to fill out the paper "personal data rectification request" form and email along with a copy of your passport to get it fixed like I did to get into my account again for this promo.

Before you get into all of this, I’d advise opening the website in Mozilla Firefox and trying. If not go to forgotten my pin and get a new one sent to your email. This will fix the issue in most cases.

I’ve been able to use the app to reset my pin in the past when this has happened.

The Iberia site does not like browser autofill. If your IB number is already shown during login, you need to click on the field, backspace and enter it again. Otherwise the login fails with a bad PIN message. Just FYI.

That has not been my experience, I have to say, at least for my IB+ number. I always let Chrome fill it in and it works perfectly every time...

OK. That's good. I have this issue, and I thought it might explain some of the complaints I've heard about PIN problems.

I had the same issue which caused me to get locked out and then figure out that you can reset via the app rather than going through the ID check!

I called my bank about 2 missing transactions. They said they are approved by bank but Iberia did not take the money and they have 7 days since transaction to take them. It happened to me twice before, when they didn't take money during 7 days period and I got email to call them to pay.

I had 10 pending charges and now have 9 posted charges. All tickets still show as confirmed by IB. Any recommended action on my part?
