I've stayed here more often than not in my last 4-5 trips to Las Vegas, counting both work and non-work trips, in the last couple of years. I like to rent a car when visiting Las Vegas (I find it more convenient than cabbing) and it's quite handy to be in a normal hotel setup and not have to trek the long distance between the guest rooms and the parking garage that is typical for most of the hotels on the strip. Love getting away from slot machines and casino smoke. I agree with others' assessment that it's a fairly typical Hyatt Place in terms of decor and breakfast. I also appreciate that there's a walking distance CVS just across the street for grabbing various supplies.
I'll be staying here again next week, will report if anything stands out.

Yes a typical Hyatt Place
this was one of the original Amerisuites that was converted to HP
I would have gone back however this property without exaggeration has to be the nosiest property I have ever been in my life due do proximity to the airport flight path
My first stay I about panicked thinking the United States was under attack at 6 AM in the morning
The second and final stay on a faster Free night I took friends and paid for their room and they were not to pleased with my selection from the noise which kept them awake
Unless something has changed to go back I would simply have to lose most of my hearing something I would rather put off for now
Otherwise nice enough property

Stayed here recently for a quick one night stay on my way through town... Didn't really like it at all. As mentioned before it's pretty noisy staying here with both the traffic and the airplane noise.
Room felt a bit on the small side as well, but was pretty standard otherwise. And nothing says welcome to Vegas when just next to the checkin area there are a bunch of drunk losers sitting at the "bar".
Rates were pretty high too compared to other options available.

I'll be staying here this weekend on a last-minute booking using P+C (yay for booking online). Special notice stated that this property was under renovation from Oct 1, 2015 to mid-January 2016. I wonder what the renovation involves...

We stayed here last week and I was impressed with the renovation. They did away with that drab brown/tan color scheme that seems to have been the standard decor when Hyatt Places first opened. The new color scheme is more of a light gray/green/white palette and it is much lighter and cleaner looking. The furniture and lamps have been modernized as well. Other Hyatt Places should look at this one and implement similar updates.

I'll be interested to see the renovation. I just had a stay there in Oct and don't remember seeing any evidence of a renovation and was certainly not given a renovated room. One thing I'd like to see changed are the room safes that use keys
I'm disillusioned with Mlife properties and am shifting stays away from mlife to HP... high prices and ripoff resort fees give them a rapidly decreasing quality/price ratio. The comped mlife status is pretty much a joke for anything but a buffet line cut or free parking (which is a hassle even if free as there always seemed to be some kind of a snafu using the card to exit the lot).

There is a shuttle to airport at (:00) and (:30) of the hour.
Hotel located directly in path of runway 01/19. It was not being used for departures but was used for landings (19L/19R) by general aviation. Jet noise was minimal as engine were on minimal power but could be worst if 01L and 01R were used for departures as engine would be on full power.

We visit Vegas (Henderson) three or four times a year. We usually don't go anywhere near the strip because we are there to visit family. We never stay at casino hotels because they are just inconvenient for our needs.
In my experience, the HP is rarely competitively priced with other similar hotels. I have stayed there once and was not impressed with the hotel and/or location.
For our upcoming trip, it's 30% more expensive than the Doubletree we have booked.

I agree, we usually stay on the strip, but stayed at the HP when passing through LAS from Bryce to LA. The HP is way overpriced, compared to the strip hotels, especially taking it's location into consideration. And it's the lousy AmeriSuites tpye of HP.
I so much wished, the Cosmopolitan would have become the Grand Hyatt, as originally planned

The hotel itself never bothered me and I liked the off beat location away from all the insanity of the strip
Its been many years since Ive been there. The only reason I never came back was the proximity to thunderous airport noise
beyond anything imaginable except perhaps bombing in war zones
Otherwise acceptable Hyatt Place fare
If your deaf or have ear plugs probably no issue

Had a pleasant stay last week for a few nights; meh upgrades at Vdara and my new WofH credit card compelled me to book at the HP and it was a good stay. I requested a room facing the runways and was assigned a corner room at the end of one wing on the 6th (top) floor facing the pool and I had a nice view of the runways. During my stay, they were using 19R and L, so the arrivals passed over the hotel and the departures flew away to the south. I didn't find the noise at all bothersome. I suppose if the departures were to the north, the noise would be louder. Welcome amenity was a small gift bag with a mini bottle of water, a package of vending store cookies, and a fruit/nut trail mix, along with a liter bottle of water from the fridge.
I rented a car so didn't use the shuttle. No issues finding the lot or finding a space. I spent one day working from the room and had no problems with the setup. Breakfast was standard HP fare; I liked the Friday breakfast which had a Southwestern theme so there were flour tortillas and corn/bean salsa. Somewhat interesting was that they switched from metal cutlery and plastic plates and glasses to cheaper plastic cutlery and picnic plates and glasses from Friday to Saturday.
