Refurbished rooms, and the breakfast is all right. Most HPs are the same.

Look at the photos online. Its a pretty new hotel so i don't think any are refurbished its not that old. Hyatt places have pretty nice and modern rooms just like the photos online. The aircraft noise did not bother me at all but i don't sleep till later when there are less airplanes so maybe that effected the earlier sleepers more.

Its a typical continental breakfast i don't remember it different than every other hyatt place which is coffee, selection of juices, fruit, cereals, and baked items like muffins or bagels for free. They have meals you can pay to order but i wouldn't recommend them over a short walk. If you are someone who needs a full american breakfast you can walk to the hard rock and get one.

Exactly as mentioned above.
It is a former Amerisuites property. Build quality is ok-not great. Noise can be a problem if you are sensative to it. Rooms are starting to show wear and tear.
Breakfast is a bit of ho hum-I usually grab a coffee and skip the rest.
Parking lot can get crowded-especially on weekends.

I do hope you are not expecting a regular Hyatt? There are MUCH better options in Las Vegas usually at lower prices.

Agreed. However, I've used Hyatt Place on a weekend when prices elsewhere are astronomical - and then moved elsewhere when the weekday rates kicked in.

There are AAA rates which come with a bottle of wine OR hot cooked breakfast -- these rates are also usually cheaper than the Hyatt Daily rate.

HP LV is a typical Hyatt Place. I did find the location a bit out of the way if you do not have a car...

Not if you're going to Vegas just for the Hofbrau!

Currently in house here at HP Las Vegas. Still a solid property -- the lady who checked me in recognised me as a repeat Diamond guest which was nice.

6th floor room with view of the Strip. Interestingly, this is the second HP in a row where the cordless phone did not work.

The Japanese restaurant across the street (Paradise) has closed sadly -- they had really good home-style Japanese cooking.

It's been a while since I stayed here but have an overnight coming up as part of a MR. Do they still provide free transfers to and from the airport?

Their current hotel fact sheet says "yes", but the rest of their website says nothing. I hate that.

Stayed there in March at the end of a conference - wanted to return the rental the night before and just shuttle for the early morning flight. I'd say it's a decent alternative to the huge casino properties. Arrived after dropping off the car late and left early - basically just slept. My main gripe was with the front desk agent who took the call for the airport pickup - she kept asking if we were at the pickup area (which admittedly was a bit confusing to find from baggage claim area) - she said she wouldn't dispatch the shuttle until we were there since it can't wait - not true at all since it's a sizable parking area and the shuttle did in fact wait for another passenger (FA) who called for pickup just after we got in the shuttle. The morning team was much better, they took us right away even though we were about 10 min early for the appointed time.

Room is pretty typical for HP except for no window wall AC unit. The room we were in, couldn't close the bathroom door if the toilet seat was down.

I personally wouldn't stay here again. Rooms are outdated. Nothing amazing about the rate. If I needed it towards Diamond status or using points or a promo.....I would.

Stayed a couple times at the end of March. As noted by others, it's a pretty standard HP, multi-story (6?), tight bathrooms with small tub/shower (curtain), and rooms & furnishings are showing some heavy wear. Toilet seemed to easily clog, too. Usual HP breakfast items. 3 elevators, if I remember right. It shares a parking lot with the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas.

Sometimes, the big casino properties (i.e. Luxor, Excalibur, etc.) have cheaper rates (via MLife) than LV HP. The HP however, has convenient self-parking -- basically, right outside the door -- compared to the big casinos. This could be a factor if you're lugging a bunch of stuff around, or going in/out a lot, or need to make a fast morning getaway. The big casinos always seem to have long check-in/out lines, too.

If Diamond, chances of getting a 4 PM late checkout seem to be better here vs. the MLife properties.

While there, I also overheard another guest complaining about the airport pickup...

Agree with previous poster. While I have had my own issues with this property over the years, the parking benefit is huge, vs. the casinos. The Hard Rock is across the street for the gamblers. And I do like my morning coffee in the room, which most Vegas casino hotels do not offer.

I have another two night stay starting Sunday, if anything's changed I'll post again.
