THE Question
I am currently staying at the HR SFO. The two room chairs look like what you might buy from Motel 6 for furniture that is long past its life. Old and faded, with multiple stains.
My question to Hyatt management is this: Would you put this furniture in your own home?
If the answer is no, then why would you subject guests paying $200/day to sit on it? (Actually, I have them covered with those cloth decorations at the end of the bed.)
I'm in a Diamond room, so I don't even want to think what non-status guests might be sitting on.

It's actually a very good question. Who decides about furniture
a-management of local hotel ?
b-central management/decoration unit ?
c-owner of the property ?
d-local furniture shop/Ikea ?
You are quite right some of this furniture does not make you dream...reminds me of some college student rentals...

There's one Hyatt that has guest room furniture that came from someone's rumpus room...and failed to sell at the yard sale.
(This Hyatt is one-of-a-kind, in my experience, so I'll refrain from naming. Overall, Hyatts are the best. You want to talk about gruesome furniture, I could send you to some Sheratons.)
