Chicago options
Okay, I goofed and need one more FFN for the year. This is probably not possible without spending another 300+ out of pocket to cover the one hotel night I need in either
Huntington Beach -- 330 a night
Hyatt Regency Chicago -- 340 a night
Park Hyatt DC -- 440+ a night
I can use points for the HR Chicago for 12K or a stay cert for Huntington Beach for 249 or just enjoy another three nights at the Bellevue Hyatt that I can't really stay at because someone has to be home for the ageing basset.
Or: could I just look for something cheaper in Chicago and not sweat this?

Just got a book from a friend. Will check to see if any of the hotels is on the list. I am willing to stay anywhere.
Then again, 3 nights at the bellevue hyatt would give me three more nights and my diamond status.

hr chicago is definitely in there -- just need to see if they'll have a rate available when you're planning to stay.

god, i just booked a romance package at the bellevue hyatt. It was 20 bucks cheaper than the hyatt.com rate.
I hope my taller half gets home in time to go over with me. I think I'd be embarassed to check in by myself.
Come on Starwood, build a new hotel in downtown bellevue and take a little pressure off the hyatt. That hotel is soo expensive on the weekends.

OK....One great option that Ive gotten many of my FFN's with is the hyatt mccormick place...you can priceline it for about 45-65$ usually....Must ask for 4* in greater chicago through pricline and its the only hotel that has come up.....other cheap options are the hyatt lisle and the hyatt schaumberg but thats out of the city and not as much of a guarantee of getting the hyatt though I did both this past weekend. good luck...and chec out betterbidding.com for more info thats where Ive gotten my info on how to bid.

we're going to opt for the kimpton brand for the rest of the earning year...So, the McCormick Place property is out of the question on this trip. Besides, without a car, isn't it not very central?
Hotel Burhnam, Topaz, Monaco, Vintage Park...
Taller half wants variety, tired of portico and Park Hyatt products...

As for the romance package, don't ask me. I have not very high aspirations for it, but am not checking in by myself!
