HYATT house San Diego/Sorrento Mesa

Back in 2012, late arrival with young children and our first experience to HH. The scribe we got was "Welcome to HH and thank you for being a Diamond. Pls help yourselves to the pantry." I asked as in 4 bottle water for the 4 of us? The reply was "anything you want". Kids got some microwave snacks, instant noodles, candy..... To this date, not sure if that was their grand opening special or any other diamonds received similar perks at HH when they first joined Hyatt. It was better than GP1000 or the dessert card at the full service Hyatt. Sadly only happened to us once.

I know these are budget properties, and I'm not entitled to any real benefits (and I'm definitely not looking for "upgrades"), but how hard would it be to spend 5 seconds saying something along the lines of: "I see you're a Globalist, thank you for your loyalty. Can I offer you two bottles of water?" Is there really no brand standard greeting at these properties? Has there ever been one?

I believe the manager at the Hyatt House Mt Laurel has nothing but contempt for Globalists.
Spent 30 nights there in 2022 and 51 in 2023 (Non consecutive). Every time I checked in on the app and requested 4PM checkout I would get "Your room is ready please visit the front desk" and had to nearly beg to get it the first several times. This only happened when doing 4pm checkout, If I'd select normal check out time the digital key would always arrive and work without having to stop at the front desk. They eventually got used to me and gave it without a fight.
They even started to charge for parking!
I continued to stay there as the Hyatt Place across the street is even worse, and at least I could cook my own food.

My script: what a great day. I hope you're having a great day. I'm excited to be here. If possible, I'd love to have an upgrade to a suite. But I totally understand if none is available

My batting record and streak is better than Joe DiMaggio or Ted Williams

Funny enough, it was the manager who checked us in and silently handed me the key, while an employee next to him is the one who ended up giving me our two bottles of water. We also don't love the odd multi-building layout of the place (it looks like a converted apartment complex). And the Border Cafe/Jose Tejas next door is our least favorite outpost of the chain.
