When will my double nights post?
It depends.
From the promotion FAQ :
In reality bonus Tier-Qualifying Nights have been posting earlier (and more regularly) than this. They have been posting in batches, so the nights will be credited independently from your stay credits and will show up in your account activity as "Bonus Journeys Bonus Night" once they do post.
For stays completed in 2020 and in the first days of 2021, the bonus nights posted on 1/7/21. There was another Bonus Night posting batch on 1/20/21 and 1/22/21. Some blogs reported earlier this year that posting would be done in batches every two weeks - and this (roughly) lines up with what we've seen so far.
Reported batch dates:
01/07/2021
01/20/2021
01/21/2021
02/04/2021
02/18/2021
03/04/2021
03/25/2021
If you haven't yet received your bonus nights then there's not much that Hyatt will do to "fix" this for you since the official line is that the bonuses won't post until 2-3 weeks after the promotion end date (i.e. 2/28/21).
It depends.
From the promotion FAQ :
17. When will the bonus Tier-Qualifying Night credits appear in my account?
Bonus Tier-Qualifying Night credits will be awarded to members at the conclusion of the Promotion Period. Please allow two to three weeks after the Promotion Period ends to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

Newly Minted Globalists - Manage Expectations
For those mattress runners, congrats on achieving your status in record time!
It seems as if there are plenty of people (here or on other blogger sites) who have shelled out of pocket plenty of money for projected benefits which will hopefully be able to be realized by February 2023. Time will tell, but at least it was a great opportunity to get into the top level for a period of time.
With lounges and breakfast to be limited for quite sometime, I guess the gamble is that 2022 will be the year of benefit for all of this spending. Hope it works out for you.
For those new Globalists (30 nights), just make sure that you manage your expectations when you do get to travel again. Upgrades to a higher floor or a premium room may be the most likely outcome, unless you stay at a specific hotel a lot, which then may upgrade you to a suite (which happens when I have recurring stays at certain properties).
For those new Globalists (60 nights), the true value is the 4 suite upgrades but many properties do play games on categorizing the type of suites, limit availability, etc. The key will be to have a good concierge that can assist you there.
There are some great aspirational properties in the portfolio, but be prepared for select points/award availability (certain number of days required), for suite availability manipulation game to be played by these properties (e.g., Andaz Maui), etc.
Even while Hyatt may be arguably the best top tier program (and touted by many bloggers to increase their credit card sign ups), just make sure that you are reasonable with your expectations....

I've gone through the points & miles hype cycle so I knew coming into this that there was a chance it might not work out like I hoped, but this is not a great way to start things off.

Welp, as soon as you posted this I checked Park Hyatt Kyoto and there is no standard suite availability, cash or points for my dates for 4 nights in November. There's availability the previous 4 nights (over a weekend!) but nothing Sunday-Wednesday and I can't really change my dates at this point. There was availability around a week or two ago. I'm sure we'll be happy with whatever room we get, but I was excited to apply the TSU here for a Park Suite.

Does anyone have any data points as to whether using Hyatt Gift Cards negates the bonus points/EQNs? I know it's called out on the FAQ, but it seems a little silly to me since it's essentially like cash or a credit card. I know the safest route would probably be to save them until after the promo period, but since the GCs were recently re-issued, I wanted to use them before they're inevitably hacked again... TIA!

Had stay from 12/22 to 1/9. 9 nights of it were award. It didn’t post properly only as 7 eligible nights but I’ll call to have that fixed in a few days when the folio becomes available online.
Data point I wanted to make is that today the 25% rebate for the points portion posted. So 3 days after check out.

Data point: I hit 61 nights via doubled points Jan 8th and received an intro email from my concierge this morning. If Hyatt is smart, they are making sure that newly acquired Globalists are being taken care of, given the competing programs at Marriott and Hilton. Hopefully they have retained/hired to be able to handle the increase in Globalists.

Yes. In my experience, the mainline MGM properties have always earned bonus on spend and nights credit when booked diretly or via Hyatt's site. Prive & FHR, you still should, but my experience has been limited there.

Yesterday twitter told me to book the Thompson Zihuatenejo in a premium suite using points to upgrade from cash is $599 + 9k points which makes no sense since the standard rate for the premium suite is $599

I had 5 nights posted on 1/1 courtesy my WOH credit card. Had one stay post for a single night 1/1, making 6. A week later, a posting of one night labelled "Chase Credit Card Nights" (I assume this is the double nights bonus) put my account at 7. I then had a 7 night stay, with one night booked as a free night, using a certificate. After that stay, my night count was 14. Today, I also have TWO additional entries for "Chase Credit Card Nights", but my total is 20 nights. Shouldn't it be 21??? (14+7+7)? I thought the free night was doubled, too.
