Hyatt Palm Springs VS Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Hyatt Palm Springs

VS

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Cashing in my chase free night expiring next month. It will be a brief stop over to Disneyland this weekend, driving from PHX.

Only $5 difference b/t their resort fees, although regency promises "much more" for $25

Are any of them kid friendly/ more upgrade chances?

My experience would suggest Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is more kid oriented. Their rooms are often more lavish than the "congested" older Hyatt Palm Springs.

Kids: Indian wells def. !much larger pool area and playground. Palm springs right on main street, pool area very tiny.

Indian wells it is! Not sure if it's a good use of the cert but its on the way and thought it would be a nice treat b/f Disney mayhem

Won't be golfing so maybe they'll waive the $25 resort fee?

Award stay (including those paid with free night certs from Chase) do not pay resort fees.

Dont see your status but grand champions treats diamonds well and rc is quite decent by us standards. With kids in tow its a no brainer - go with the resort even without status.

I stay at both frequently. Without a doubt Indian Wells is more kid friendly. Much larger pool, waterslide and some ping pong tables there. The Ps Hyatt has a tiny pool and essentially nothing else.

I believe you have to call for award reservations at vacation club properties, can't be booked online.

turns out that Indian Wells is ineligible for chase nite due to category

Liked the Palm springs hotel overall despite the location. True suite with bedroom door.

Parking was a pain (across the street) and they charged me valet in error for just stopping and dropping off luggage. Will contest later. Maybe I'll get some points for the stay though?
