I had a similiar offer last year and had 3 nights at ARIA that counted. I had booked the ARIA through the hyatt website, so I am not sure if that made a difference or not.

There is no good reason for any confusion.

This promotion is valid for all eligible stays/eligible nights at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. In addition, all M life Eligible Nights at participating M life resorts will be counted toward this promotion. An M life Eligible Night is any night of an M life Eligible Stay (i) where payment is made directly to a participating MGM Resorts International property, (ii) any stay booked through hyatt.com, or (iii) through a Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Center, excluding free night awards. See complete terms and conditions on goldpassport.com for a list of participating M life hotels.

Capped at 50k last time, so I don't see how having the ability to hit 60k@25 is really worse for people who stay quite a bit at hyatt properties.
Anyhow, if the promos suck so hard... and you're constantly bent about them... just give up your diamond status and start staying at marriott, SPG, or elsewhere and see how that goes. I've heard Red Roof Inn has some pretty awesome 5* properties.

Also, I am not saying I am giving up my status or even not going to stay with Hyatt. My irritation is simply the nonsensical endless marketing BS hype, which was extra heavy with this promo about "one of our best ever" blah blah blah. I am just sick of the nonsense. Just put out the sad promos already and be done with it. Enough unjustified hype. This thing is equal to or worse than the last promo, but they did not make a big deal over the last one. I love how everyone wants to paint the people who are pointing out the reality behind simple math, which can't really be argued as if they are complaining endlessly without cause. Its just a fact...this promo at this level, is inferior to or in the case of the 50/20 offer, identical to the last one. That's it. Nothing more nothing less.

10 stays, 20,000 points. I'm Diamond with 14 stays/16 nights last year (completed Diamond trial).
This isn't too bad, I suppose. I already have 8 nights booked through April 30th so will only have to mattress run/add 2 more.

No status and one stay last year for two nights:
Earn 30,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after 15 eligible nights at any Hyatt hotel worldwide and thousands more for every additional five nights, up to 25, during our Stay More Play More promotion. Simply stay from January 15 through April 30, 2015. After 25 nights, you’ll earn 65,000 bonus points.
I like it and wish I could hit the first level, but I just don't stay at hotels that much.

You're welcome to your opinion, but a free night at a Category 5 Hyatt is extremely desirable to me.

The output is fine, but the input to earn it? Perhaps okay by today's standard, but historically that's basically what we used to get as G bonuses without any special hyped promo at many properties.

Wow. Absolutely terrible.
5000 points for 2 stays. Terms say max earnings 5000 points with this promo.
I'll be completing this next week since I already have two stays planned.

I don't know...maybe because 60/25, 45/20, 30/15 is worse than 50/20, 30/15, 15/10, 5/5 per night, total and just overall? I stay EVEN MORE and get LESS points per night? The ONLY way it is in any way better, is if you do 25 nights and you get a marginal benefit of an extra 10k. Otherwise, you get less per night, you have MUCH higher thresholds to get ANYTHING, and get less even at the high level of 20 nights.

I got the 30/45/65 offer. Given I already have 12 nights booked for this time period anyway, and I have a $69/night ($77 with tax) Hyatt Place near me. So, is $231 worth a free night at the Park Hyatt New York? Yes, yes it is.
But, is 15,000 points worth $385? Or another 35,000 worth $770? I am thinking no...
