Wow. I am impressed. Not just in the Cash & Points and Elite Discount program, but how they announced them separately from the devaluation. Let people get angry for a week, and then give them something to forget about the devaluation. These additions rightfully needed their own stage.

Kudos to all the folks at Hyatt Gold Passport and you know who you are
I asked/ suggested for some of this back in 2005 and in more recent years
Better late than never
Regardless this softens some of the blow to the recent devaluation especially for premium redemption travelers
At the end of the day this is another feather in the cap for the folks at Hyatt Gold Passport and should make for a more highly satisfied membership base
Hyatt Gold Passport Accomplishments 2013
• The MGM partnership ^ Outstanding achievement
• Member elite discount ^ Impressive
• Cash and Points ^ Longgggggggg overdue
From negative to positive in a week. Crazy and appreciated all in the same breath
Of course the jury is not out to how well all this is all going to work. I remain highly optimistic
Having said that way to go Hyatt "Most improved Program of the Year"
Let’s keep this progress coming right through in 2014 :-::-::-::-::-:

This is a great improvement to the GP Program, I have been advocating for GP Cash and Points Awards for years now including at the more or less obscure 'Hyatt Insiders'. Finally changes have been implemented. ^

That is AWESOME! I haven't used any HGP points in almost two years because I've needed the paid stays to maintain status. This fixes that problem.

Good news all around, but is the "my elite rate" a booking that can be cancelled?
It doesn't say, so I reserve my judgement till details are finalized.

Fantastic news and a great way to compete with SPG. I'm curious to know if the cash and points booking count towards the Diamond Challenge. If so, I'm ready to make the switch.

Sa-weet! Thanks Jeff and Hyatt. Nice to find out a few more details but first impression is... I'm impressed.
