I could almost guess that something about the hotel was not as good (in part to the lower prices-getting $120 during peak season, including taxes/resort fee is already telling me the hotel had to cut costs in at least one area.)
Which property? Prices fluctuate considerably depending on day of the week and any major events taking place. I've paid less than that for the Mirage and seen more than that for Luxor.

Is there a way to get a MLife Platinum card? I matched over from Hyatt Diamond quite some time ago but never received one in the mail. Is there something I need to do to request it?

I'm visiting Vegas in a few weeks and would like it for hopping the cab line, etc.

Once you arrive, stop by any MLife desk within any of the MGM hotels, and they will print a card out for you.

There is an online process I have used in the past and as stated previously its as simple as stopping in at most pf the MGM group casino properties
Its a pretty easy quick process if the Mlife desk isn't busy

I am not that far from the Detroit MGM but not sure if they can do it or not.
Bumping this. I recently became a Hyatt Diamond. I am near the MGM Detroit next weekend and wondering if Non-LAS MGM's are capable of doing the match or not

I got my card printed when I checked in, without even going to a separate desk. (Though I might have been using the "Mlife priority" checkin area.)

Probably, but why not just phone them and ask?

Yes, just do the match online by linking your Hyatt Diamond and MGM accounts. Then go to the Player's desk at the MGM Detroit and get your Platinum MLife card.

I was in Detroit a few months back and went to get my card reprinted so I could use it for a night while in town. Shouldn't be a problem if you have your MLife account setup before showing up at the casino. As far as matching status off of a physical Hyatt card while at MGM Detroit, I'm not sure. Best bet to do it online then get the card.

Does it take a while for the MGM status to be upgraded? I haven't used my MLife account in a while and just signed up for a new account tonight figuring my Platinum status would be active next time I was at an MGM property. After going through the process and signing into my Hyatt account and going to the status match page it said my status was aligned but is showing me as only Saphire with MGM.

.
Can u help here? How did platinum card helped with resort fee? I have a 6 night stay coming up at Montecarlo. Thanks
