60+ Hyatt Nights this year.. Grand Hyatt Tokyo/Hong Kong/BangkoK/Singapore
Lifetime time Starwood Platinum.

I've seen many a lounge..

I hope tonight is something different, but there wasn't even Prosseco let alone Champagne.. which is standard.

Cheap middle self liquor brands, and inedible food..

To be clear, Hotel is lovely.. just not lounge.

I'm sorry for disagreeing, but to me the GH lounge is underwhelming with boring food except for the nice view & Joyce who was on duty during my last visit. The rest of the staffs are quite robotic. They should have learned from Hyatt Regency KK instead.

Only comparing between KL hotels, i still think that Le Meridien KL has the best lounge in the city.

Will be returning again to this property next month, just to spend some points & burn the DSU. Plus the location is super convenient to KLCC & hunting pokemon at the park... After the mixed reviews & my experience i wont put my hopes too high this time.

Exactly... and with so little content in the comment it's hard to judge what happened.

I have much more experience at Sha Tin, but the face remains the same.

The was more content in the comment than on the buffet table, I can tell you that!

Last night same. I confirmed with staff Champagne or indeed any bubbles are not on offer. We brought our own bottle of Billlecarte and had them chill.

Green Salad, spiced asian salad, tinned tuna wrapped like a sushi square, cheese, bread, and a couple of hot items at the end that were entirely unappetising.. (one bread pudding type thing, and some yellow cut chicken).

Bacardi, Absolute, type of liquor... middle shelf.

Previous Hyatt was offering Havana Club and Grey Goose, with bubbles.

Grand Hyatt Hong Kong keeps a basic bar of wine and beer till midnight.

~

Again the hotel is fine, staff lovely and very helpful.

But certainly not up to standard of a Grand Hyatt in Asia.

Left them another bottle earlier, asking them to chill.

Just rocked up and its still behind the desk..warm

Maybe service isn't so good either.

Least impressive Hyatt in Asia by far.

With all the choices in KUL, I was sucked in by the DSU's and large suite..
Won't be fooled again.

I don't think any hotel offering evening drinks and canapes intends to offer a buffet.

I think I noted in my review back in March that, while this is my favourite hotel in the world, I think the hotel possibly does itself a disservice by offering what I considered to be such an outstanding lounge offering. Perhaps the hotel is now bringing it back a little. It certainly was possible to make a meal out of it which really isn't what such offerings are for.

Exactly... if you want to wine and dine go to a restaurant. This is "just" a lounge....

I agree a lot on that. Was just in the lounge 3 days ago and oh boy, the amount of people in there that were making a meal out of the lounge spread was mind boggling. Canapés should just be canapés, evening cocktails shouldn't evolve into evening dinner buffet.

In other news, I was there on a 3 night stay. In the morning after the first night, i found brown water seeping in towards the bathroom causing a 'rain' of sorts near the shower and bath. Its unclear whether its from the unit above or rainwater. It will be concerning if its rainwater as that implies that there may be a crack somewhere high up in the building that someone didn't know about.

They moved us subsequently into a Grand Executive Suite for the next 2 nights. Nice compensation so didn't pursue further after check out.

We weren't trying to 'wine and dine".. the food was so poor, we didn't eat anything.. It wasn't a question of not enough, it was the choice and quality of dishes weren't fit for animals.

Top lobby... looked pretty poor for such a hotel.
