Wow!

Just completed a stay here . It’s been many years since I was last here . One word describes my stay - FLAWLESS ! Absolutely terrific service all around . The staff are top notch and the hospitality is amazing . Very warm and inviting hotel . Food is fantastic . Pool area luxurious and relaxing . HIGHLY Recommend the fast track and limo transfer service offered by hotel . Saved a ton of time at immigration and wonderful transfer service in luxury auto.

Very glad to see that several people have benefited from the Fast Track Arrival service through the Diplomatic Line at SGN Tan Son Nhut airport! As I've many times before, it is so worth it to avoid the chaos and immigration mayhem at that airport!

I am returning to the Park Hyatt Bangkok in a couple of weeks, and they sent me their Airport Transfer brochure which now INCLUDES a similar Fast Track Service to the one offered by the Park Hyatt Saigon.
"After exiting the airplane you will be greeted by our airport concierge and escorted through the
priority diplomatic immigration line with a maximum of three guests for a quick and seamless
arrival or departure. Priority check-in at the airline counter is included for departures.
Kindly note that our Welcome Host will be waiting for you holding a Park Hyatt Bangkok sign.

For enquiries or reservations, please contact our Concierge Team by email [email protected]
We are looking forward to your arrival at Park Hyatt Bangkok.

*If a cancellation or change is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation/change fee will be charged."

My problem is that the first part of my stay in Bangkok coming in from Tokyo will be at The Athenee Hotel, Luxury Collection, and I booked their Mercedes S-class airport transfer, but they do NOT offer this Fast Track service! My stay with the Park Hyatt Bangkok is on my return from Chiang Mai so there will not be any immigration to clear, but I did also book their BMW 7 airport transfer.

To be clear, BKK does not allow queue jumping anymore. You are simply taken to the Fast Track lane for J and F and they meet you on the other side before handing you over to the PH rep.

I will post my TR shortly. It was up and down....

Not to be a contrarian, but I stay at PH Saigon a lot. I use an ABTC card which always gets me through immigration in 3 minutes max and then spend $6 on Grab or a Vinasun taxi to get to the PH (or sometimes walk after a long flight if I get in early morning and it's not too hot.)

Don't mind spending money for good service, but the PH fast track/car service is such a rip off, I'd feel like a complete rube using it.

Lovely hotel by the way. Great staff and great service.

I assume your assessment of value for money for the Fast Track would be very different if you didn't have an ABTC card (and which the overwhelming proportion of visitors do not have) - I would not choose to queue for more than an hour if there was an option of paying to skip it. And hotel cars will always involve a massive surcharge, but enough people just prefer to pay more for the known quantity of a luxury hotel car rather than leave things to chance with an Uber/Grab/taxi.

Yeah but it's also available on Klook for $19 and a private transfer is also available there for $15. I'll give it a try in April and report back. I'm sure it's not as lux as the hotel transfer but it's a fraction of the cost.

It's also a question of accountability when things don't quite go right - you would have a lot more recourse if the hotel-provided services don't go well, whereas booking it on Klook will mean that the maximum you could expect is a refund of the cost, which doesn't do anything to compensate for the inconvenience.

Sure but I'd also be more annoyed at being out $200+ than $50 if I have to wait in line longer.

Yes, then why wouldn't you get an ABTC card. And the fast track system is not legitimate anyway. The service providers are just giving money to immigration officials in order to cut in line. You can give 500k dong to virtually any official there and they'll walk you to the head of the line.

Yes, but not 20x the normal cost. And BTW, Grab nowadays in VN is just as reliable if not more so than the the PH service.

First timer, I get it, but after that there's really no need to act like Chicken Little.

Sure, if you are eligible, bearing in mind that one of the key eligibility criteria is nationality in one of the APEC countries.

My experience with Grab in various countries have been very mixed, with subpar cars and drivers in many instances. If it works for you, great - that said, I don't think that referring to people who choose to avail themselves of hotel-provided cars as "acting like Chicken Little" is particularly relevant or helpful.

100th stay in the PH Saigon. Complimentary upgrade to the Presidential Suite. Nice gesture!

Looks like both Park Suite and Lam Son Suite are available when I am visiting in June. What is the main difference between two? I am going to use TSU. Which one should I request? Thanks.

This hotel easily became one of my favorite PHs. The service, food, decor, location and value for money are incredible. The breakfast is hands down one of the best offerings Hyatt has in its entire portfolio. Every single day I was so full that I barely had any food after that for the entire day.

To answer the questions above; Park Suites are the ones facing the hotel garden/pool and away from the main square. They're very quite. Lam Son Suites directly face the square; they're a bit more noisy at night.

I too love this hotel, and it's one of my favorites PHs! Even though my wife likes the PH Bangkok better.

For the suites, I prefer the Lam Son Suites which face the square over the Park Suites which face the pool/garden - the noise does not bother me.
