FFN Availability
I managed to snag one of those $30 US BA fares, so am off to Paris for 3 days.
I used one of my FFN Credits for one night at the Park Hyatt in Paris, but unfortunately there is no availability for the other two nights.
My question is whether a hotel may make more rooms available for FFN redemption closer to the check-in date.

I had the same problem this summer at GH Bangkok. I had 8 free nights and only the first three nights were available for award booking. I decided to stay there anyway the first three nights. And while staying I asked again at the hoteldesk if they allowed me to use as well the other 5 free nights. They did not ! Despite the fact the hotel was nearly empty !
Sorry Hyatt, I like your hotels a lot, but starwood award inventory and the suite-upgrade start attracting me more and more !

ben20 --Sounds like you're a fairly high-volume Hyatt customer. I'd call GP customer service and force them to open up inventory.
Anecdotally, I use these nights at GH BKK all the time and never have any difficulty getting space (unlike, say Hong Kong or Tokyo). If there are empty rooms here, they should be able to free up space.
The other possibility is that sometimes point space is avail. but FFN space is not (don't really understand that...) so I make the reservationist book the point space, and then have GP customer service switch it.
There is more than one way to skin this cat.
