Question re upgrades
Hi everyone,
Please forgive me if these are obvious questions.
I'm looking to stay at the Park Hyatt tokyo in May this year for five days. I am a Gold passport member (with no status
)with approximately 12000 points.
I noticed that it states you can upgrade to a suite for 6000 points (for 4 days).
My questions are:
1) Can you upgrade at time of booking? I would like to stay in a suite - probably would pay if I cant upgrade with points.
2)Is it one level you get upgraded i.e. park view to suite?
3)As I'm going to be staying for five days - will I be able to use this promotion?
4) Is it a specific rate that you have to use to get the upgrades - Am thinking of the "taste and stay" at the park rate.
5)Finally, is there any chance of being upgraded on check in despite my lowly status

--> Of course you can upgrade with your points, but you need to pay a Hyatt Daily Rate for the Hotels.
2)Is it one level you get upgraded i.e. park view to suite?
-->You can simply book the lowest available room (Hyatt's Daily Rate) and upgrade with your points
3)As I'm going to be staying for five days - will I be able to use this promotion?
As long it does not past 30 April 2012, you will be able to enjoy the promotion. May is obviously not April
4) Is it a specific rate that you have to use to get the upgrades - Am thinking of the "taste and stay" at the park rate.
Taste and Stay Package will work. Hyatt Daily Rate is just the minimum amount that you need to pay to use the upgrade.

Yes, but highly unlikely.

I would phone in to Hyatt Reservations and inform them of your intentions. They will inform you and process everything together.
