Question on upgrades when using FFN

I am a new diamond. I just booked 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. I am currently booked for a Mountain View King. Do I get upgraded to a better room as a diamond when using FFN? Any other benefits I should be getting during my stay?

thanks for the help

Upgraded rooms are not a defined benefit with the program except for the 4 confirmed suite upgrades that diamonds receive. Some hotels will allow upgrades on award stays and some will not. I would call the hotel or see if they have a facebook or twitter site.

Not really true - as a diamond OP should get the best available room excluding suites (this may be the mountain view king that the OP already has). This applies equally to paid and award/FFN stays. In addition, all other diamond benefits apply to award stays including diamond amenity, club access, breakfast, etc.

Like a Guestroom, a Mountain View 2 Double Beds and a Spa Terrace View Room a Mountain View King Room is a Standard Room. You should be upgraded to a Regency Club Room (if availabe).

You have the option to choose either 1K bonus points (1W bonus) or F & B as welcome amenity.

FWIW, I highly suggest you read the "Diamond Benefits" link in the post above as well as the following thread:

95% of your Hyatt questions (and many more you haven't even thought of yet) will be answered after spending 30 mins reading these 2 things. ^
