Another question about stacking promos

As usual, I apologize in advance for my poor searching skills if this one has been asked and answered but I'm also interested in recent stacking success.

Is this possible for my upcoming stays at the GH Guangzhou:

1. G2 - 2000pts
2. GP607 - 2000pts
3. Next Big Thing - 3000pts

My assumption is that it will work but will likely require a call to CS after the stay. 7k bonus points for each stay looks pretty good (not to mention the double stay credits). If GHGZ offered the 1000 Diamond amenity...

Yes this should work, book using the GP607 code and call later to add the G2.

Please mind that you can only add one offer code to your on-line reservation. As Experience Asia Pacifics Grand Hyatt Hotels Offer may not be combined with other promotional offers its more likely hotel staff will not be able to overrule GP's system & include G2 and GP607 at the same time.

However it never hurts to call CS and ask politely for adding another offer code. I second bbbb in the outcome, but bear in mind that your are not entiteled to earn 2K two times (= G2 & GP607) for one eligible stay.

gregorygrady says that Customer Service has the ability to code two of the bonuses before your stay. You might want to try that:

The 3K bonus will sweep automatically, so it is only the 2 2K bonus you want added.

As the OP asked if G2 and GP607 are combinable I feel confident that s/he should know, if s/he is entiteled to earn 2K GP bonus points two times or not. The answer to this question can be found in T&C: GP607 offer may not be combined with other promotional offers (please re-read post # 3 and take the time to look at the link I have provided).

you advice the OP to call CS before his stay and let assume s/he will find an agent who will say s/he will fulfill this request. Most likely both bonuses in question will not find the way in his/her account. A call to CS after his/her stay should make the OP happy, but this is not guaranteed!

The T&C always state that promotions are not combinable, but in practice I have never had a problem adding a G bonus to any other offer. I have also discovered that the web check-in form has spaces for up to 3 offer codes, so clearly Hyatt permits multiple offers on a single reservation, but they may not all be combinable. I have received bonus points from up to 5 different offers on a single stay.

Everyone can read the T&C for themselves. What I find valuable from this forum is the actual experience others have had, which is not always consistent with the T&C. Hyatt does seem to bend the rules from time to time, but not always in a consistent manner.

I see an inconsistency in your statement: On the one hand you favour exceptions (We don't usually combine bonuses, but I'm willing to bend the rules on this occasion) on the other hand you like to see a consistency in granting exceptions!

There are questions which can be easily answered by T&C but we dont like the replay. Precisely we dont like the rule and search to find way to circumvent the directive. One way is to call CS and innocently ask different agents until we hear the answer we like. But is it fair to blame those call center agents who work by the rule book?

Please don't attack me, Smart Shopper. I don't look for ways to circumvent the rules, nor do I call customer service until I get the answer I want. I was merely sharing my personal experience, which indicates that various offer codes can often legitimately be combined in a single reservation. The fact that the online check-in form has space for up to 3 offer codes certainly would support that position. Perhaps the issue is with the definition of the term "promotion." While the T&C state that "promotions" are not combinable, I don't believe that all offer codes (particularly G bonuses) constitute uncombinable promotions.

The OP asked if its possible to combine G2 & GP607 bonuses and assumed that it will work but will likely require a call to CS after the stay.

It goes without saying that both of these special offers run under T&C which you can easily find:

1. Bonus Offers Terms and Conditions:
Only one bonus may be redeemed per member, per room, per stay.

2. Experience Asia Pacifics Grand Hyatt Hotels:
Guest must request Offer Code GP607 at time of reservation and check-in to receive bonus points. [] Only one bonus may be redeemed per member, per stay.

Reading this, I have no doubt that the promoter intends to honour only one of these bonuses per member and stay. What is your opinion, DealDetective?

My opinion is that you would be able to stack these 2 (G2 & GP607) - I've been able to stack similar ones before. The & T&Cs are more for other promos other than the Gx bonuses.
