I could drive from NYC->Bolton Landing (where the hotel is) on 1st.
I'm all for it, but it's not a Photo DO unless all interested from the other thread are online now and book with us. Know what I mean?

Just found this fine print on the hotel website (after making a reservation):

For your convenience, a daily room gratuity in the amount of $9.00 per person (subject to change) is added to your bill and is distributed to resort staff. For your convenience, an automatic 18% gratuity is added to all Food and Beverage charges.

Looks like they have their own kind of fuel surcharge...

But well, this is "for our convenience", so I guess I should not complain.

Very interesting !

I was working on all kinds of complicated theories
about how to get $9 from the various rates posted,
dropping zeroes, moving decimal points, nothing worked.

But the mistake was as simple as that, a zero rate plus gratuity.

Unless somebody can find some winter sports opportunity nearby, this sounds like a "deal" you might want to pass up.

Thank you for clarifying this! It actually makes a lot of sense, but I did not even realize it when I posted the information, I thought they would add this gratuity to the quoted price.

This being said, I have not received any email confirmation yet and booked a couple of hours ago, so I am starting to wonder if they will honor it.

This is the Lake George area, and they have Ski places around.
