Keep in mind that although the activity team there is pretty energetic (e.g. beach volleyball, games around the pool) and there are some evening shows and music, it's pretty much a laid back place where people go to relax.

The one thing that comes to mind is getting the 50k points united chase card for the both of you (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...nt-credit.html).

Understood it's more laid back. We both have to wait till Oct for any new CC signups as we just finished a churn. I was thinking of trading 100k SW pts for 1,000 in Amazon GC's then selling the GC's and using the 1,000 for our airfair

Are there anyways to change RR points into US Airways? I fall about 20k points short of US Airways for both our reward tickets, rather then convert my RR points to Amazon GC's to sell to buy my tickets I'd much rather just swap the RR pts.

I take that back...

+47,500miles per
person

then we get - 5,000 when booking due to having a barclays mastercard... so that makes us each 2,500 points short... Any ideas?

I assume by airtran card you mean sign up for an airtran card? I have SW points can I convert them to Airtran? Would it be worth it? Otherwise I think as you said my best bet may be to make two VR spends of 2,500. That way each of our cards has the 42,500 needed for the rewards ticket.

On US Airways site, it shows the rewards booking of 47,500 if I get the 2,500 extra points I'll have 42,500, enough points if I book using my us airways mastercard and get the -5000 pts off the reward ticket. Do I need to have 47500 in my account to do this or can I do it with only having 42,500 in my account? Thanks in advance.

Alright...given the free cancellation up until day of arrival, I had to bite and reserve for four nights.

great post - booked! The free cancellation is too tempting! Hopefully I don't forget to cancel prior to that!

We just stayed at Secrets the Vine a month ago and it was an absolutely fantastic property!

Hmmm...signed up for a hotels.com account for the first time (i know, crazy i didn't have one already), used my Ink Bold to pay, next day, my card is being used all over the place fraudulently. Granted, I've used the card other places over a week ago, but a pretty big coincidence. Hotels.com hacked?

I'm hoping by then that SW and Airtran will be merged completely and i'll use my companion pass to get me and the SO down there for half price. Otherwise, i'll probably look at AA miles.
