Going to Hong Kong tomorrow, for about 48 hours.

I have been before, but it was ages ago, and with airline crew, so I only saw the insides of many bars and clubs!

Staying at the IC HK.

Would appreciate top tips on:-
- airport to hotel transfer
- Good bits of the Mongkok/TST markets for clothes
- I'd like to buy some electronics - a PSP, external HDD.. that sort of thing. Where should I go?

Depends on your preference, you can take the airport express train to the Kowloon stop and take a short taxi ride to the hotel. If not much lauguage, you can take a express airport bus #A21, almost door to door, and since it travel through Nathan road, you can have an idea where to go too.
Since the time is short, best bet is the 3 street in Mongkok, you can take taxi or 3 stop for subway

All 3 are parallel to Nathan Rd, 1st is Sai Yeung Choi St, all the latest electronics, 2nd is Tung Choi St, the famous ladies market, but not just stuff for ladies, 3rd is Fa Yuen St. consist of good places to eat and sneaker shops.
If you're geeky enough, you can spend half a day in Mongkok Computer Centre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mong_Kok_Computer_Centre which is between the 2nd and 3rd st.
You can spend the other day just walking around TST with it's many high class stores and malls.

Airport Express, then taxi to hotel. Fast, clean and easy.

I personally like the Langham Place (mall) in Mongkok. Esp the shoe floor. If you're there, eat at the Chi Kee wonton noodle. (To the left side of the bridge connecting mall to hotel). One of the best.

The new mall above Kowloon Airport station is enjoyable too, a bit pricey, not too many people cause it's not exactly convinient. I used to like Pacific Place, now I found them boring and crowded.

Of course, there is always Women Street aka Ladies market. There are a bunch of electronic stores in Mongkok by that area.
Go to Fa Yuen Street for jeans. They do alteration while you wait and it's free. Got my 2 pairs for US$20 last month.

I concur with the first poster on the airport bus...door to door you can't beat. I think it's around $40 HKD too for the trip so it's a bargain. Plus it's cool to sit up top of the double deckers and look all around the city as it passes from the serene lantau island over the bridge to Kowloon. Plus it sounds like you don't have luggage as you're with the airline.

I agree w the Mongkok suggestion, Ladies Street to do some bargaining. I personally prefer Temple Street better, which is slightly closer to your hotel.

You can also have a nice drink with a view at Aqua @ 1 Peking Road or head over to Causeway Bay for some nice shopping near Sogo and Times Sq on the HK island side.

If you're looking for sights try the BIg Buddha and Ngong Ping cable car ride or the 10,000 buddha monestary in Shatin which I think is awesome. So many little buddhas everywhere.
