I concur with the first poster on the airport bus...door to door you can't beat. I think it's around $40 HKD too for the trip so it's a bargain. Plus it's cool to sit up top of the double deckers and look all around the city as it passes from the serene lantau island over the bridge to Kowloon. Plus it sounds like you don't have luggage as you're with the airline.

I agree w the Mongkok suggestion, Ladies Street to do some bargaining. I personally prefer Temple Street better, which is slightly closer to your hotel.

You can also have a nice drink with a view at Aqua @ 1 Peking Road or head over to Causeway Bay for some nice shopping near Sogo and Times Sq on the HK island side.

If you're looking for sights try the BIg Buddha and Ngong Ping cable car ride or the 10,000 buddha monestary in Shatin which I think is awesome. So many little buddhas everywhere.
