When do Honors points post?

After a Hilton hotel stay, how long does it take for the points to post to your account? Thanks!

Hi,

The answer is it depends ( US stays tend to post slightly quicker than UK/European ones).

For the majority of my stays , the stay comes up on my " recent stay list" within 2-3 days of leaving the hotel ( no points posted at this stage)

Then

About 1-2 days later the points are credited to my account.

I have only had to claim missing stays online ( after 3 weeks) on a few occasions in 5 years of HH membership.

Regards

TBS

When they feel like it....

My stays usually post in the 3 to 5 day range. Sometimes they take a bit more than a week. Rarely do I need to submit a request for missing credits.

Delta Airlines had the best posting record, they get posted as you board. I'd get home from a trip, having just got off the plane an hour or so ago and there are my miles. If only all programs were that quick. ^

When I check out on Thursday, I get points by Saturday AM, when I check out Friday, I usually see them on Monday morning.

I have had the occasional 5-7 day wait. Since it was at the same hotel I always stay at, it just shows that there doesn't really appear to be a rhyme or reason.

On the other hand, I'm sitting here on day nine after checkout and still no points showing up from a Hampton Inn stay. Usually they post for me within a few days but not this time. I'll wait until Sunday (some FTers have suggested that points often post on Saturday night during a weekly sweep by Hilton) and then contact them directly about the missing points. I believe the Hilton web site suggests waiting longer before inquiring but on the few occasions the posting has been delayed for me I've been able to get it corrected quickly after a couple of weeks by filling out their missing stays form online.

sometimes as "quick" as 3 days.. sometimes longer than a week.

what I don't understand is how the hotel will show up quickly under Previous Stays.. but the actual stay/points credit will take much longer.

Now that's a mystery
It's two different databases that needs to be updated.

Yah, that's happening to me right now. Stayed at the Drake, checked out Monday. Recent stay list updated today with Drake but no E-folio available...strange.

Points have not been updated yet.

Hopefully tomorrow they will show up (72 hour window)

In the US it has typically been about 3 days. In Asia it has taken up to two weeks.
