I've just spent about 5.5K @ in Beach House Maldives - should I claim since it is almost two weeks ago?
Also - any specific point scheme setting to look out for? My current setting is
Double Dip Earnings Style HHonors Points and HHonors Points.

If all that $5K is eligible for base point earn you would be a further $500 short of eligible spend earnings for the 60,000 HHonors points needed for Gold. (Do you have any other HHonors earn this year?)
One really important item to have in your possession is a copy of the folio you should have received upon check-out.
*Presumably your stay is qualifying.
