Hmm I feel like I should have used points instead of a free night
Staying at a Double Tree next month for 2 nights. Standard Room is $239 a night and a night stay is $35,000 points. I have 3 reward nights. Expiration dates in July, Dec and then Jan 2023) Think it would have made more sense to use July Reward Night and Points for the second vs 2 reward nights. Thinking about it now I feel the reward nights are way more valuable. Is it to late to switch?

If there is still availability at 35k points per night, of course you can cancel and rebook.
What you can't do is go back in time and rebook at a price that was valid ages ago.

If you have a reward night, I would use it on a higher value room, like one $400+ or 80k points. If you aren't going to travel to places with hotels like WA or Conrad, then using up a free night reward is better than allowing it to expire.
