Diamond Member effect April 1st?

Diamond Member effect April 1st?
I made diamond for the first time in december, however hhonors just told me I will only get it on April 1st? I have 30 nights in 30days in January in Hilton and thats why I pushed hard ( took 3 nights in my hometown) to get diamond.

Is that right?

You are Diamond from the date of earning (Dec 2018) through Mar 31, 2020.

Please be informed as I can check you have completed 60 nights in year 2018 your diamond tier will reflect in your account on 1st April 2019 and it will remain diamond until 31st March 2020. There have been some really odd info out of the on line help people recently. I have been a Diamond for 8 of the last 11 years...and it has always applied as I described.

Can you log into your Hhonors account? What does it say there?

Yeah it says gold right now, do you have the Diamond Concierge number maybe I can call there, the regular line is close today

What was the date of your stay in December that qualified you for diamond?

I suppose it could be the IT problems- that your account doesn't show Diamond. But that doesn't explain the incorrect human response.

There do seem to be a few reports of odd things happening with status after the IT changes, so it could well be linked to this.

My limited experience with HH Diamond status is that BlueZebra is right, it kicks within 48 h of earning status. At the absolute latest, it should start Jan 1.
