I got the 10k Surpass night about month after hitting the threshold (Jan 18). My renewal is mid-year so this was earlier than expected. I got no email after I hit 10k, just the email with the free night.
I was wondering where the 15k night was and just realized I am $50 shy of the spend. Hoping that night comes quickly also, but since my statement just closed I might be stuck waiting

I haven't received an e-mail or certificate for my Aspire yet.

I've been a Citi Hilton HHonors Visa card holder (the no annual fee card) since 2016, and been on Gold status since then since they gave you Gold status for as long as you were a card holder. In January 2018, I received the no annual fee Amex Hilton card as a replacement for the Citi one. Today I received an email from Hilton:
Silver status is the bare minimum of tiers and is pretty bad so I want to retain my Gold status by all means. Do you think it would be possible to do a product change/"upgrade" to the Amex Hilton Ascend card, which has a $95 annual fee but also complementary Gold status for the life of the card? Or should I just suck it up and put enough Hilton spend to get me back to Gold status?
jalabi99, your tier status is about to change
Hi jalabi99! Your 2017 travel has earned you Silver status for 2018, and that comes with some pretty great perks on every stay. Your new status is effective April 1, 2018

For those who got the free night cert for the Aspire card, did you apply when the new card first came out or at a later date?

I seriously doubt if I would ever spend $40K on Hilton properties in a year. Diamond status isn't as useful to me as Gold status is and has been. I also wasn't thinking about applying for the Ascend, I was thinking if it's possible to do a "product change" to it from the no-AF Amex Hilton card I already have. If that is possible then I would only pay $85 (or whatever the Ascend's AF is) and Gold status is mine again. (I need to get my credit score back up before I consider applying for any credit card at the moment.)
