Hi all,
If you want me to check to see if you're registered for the latest promotion, send me a PM with your Hilton Honors account number and I'll double check.
Thanks!

So I asked why it does not show up under "My promotions" on our account page and she said she thought that was more for targeted promotion...I dunno...but since she had all the correct info I'm just trusting that.
But thanks, Lauren, for the offer anyway. I might bother you if there is a problem, but you've got enough on your plate now.

It pays to check in at FT more often. Thanks for the notice. I made sure to register for a stays I had recently booked in DC and Baltimore. With the dilution and devaluation of points with the recent changes, it is sure nice to see all these bonuses lately.

The logic behind the promo seems to work - at least to me it was an excuse to book a stay at about 100 euro over my budget.
My options were:
The estimated (diamond) point gain would be:
Because I'm going to New Mexico again (which still has some fixed 10k and 20k points properties) I will get a paid night and a (full or half) free night by staying at the airport Hilton. That sounds good enough for me.
My options were:
- Stay at home, take a 45-minute train to the airport during the AM commute hours.
- Stay at the near-airport Hampton at 120 euro + probably 30 extra spend (because they do serve sort-of gourmet meals + craft beers, but it won't get you any points).
- Stay at the airport Hilton at 220 euro + grab some lounge food + wine.
The estimated (diamond) point gain would be:
- 0 points, but save at least 110 euro.
- 6000 points (including 250 Hampton bonus + App bonus).
- 11200 points (incl App bonus).

But yes, that's exactly why I've got an HGI stay coming up tomorrow, because it's "promo dearth" season at so many of the other programs this week (not just Marriott and Starwood).

As usual, I can't sign up using an IPhone or a laptop
i get a blank screen that says the service is unavailable. I just moved 15 stays elsewhere, I am sick of the Hilton IT simply never working

As an example the points for the stays, that I've booked already:
- without promo: 55.970
- triple base points: +59.960
- triple total points: +111.940
- 2k per night (old promo): +44.000
Reading the t&c I would aspect triple total points, but even with triple base points it's a good promo.

Normally, I get
100x10 = 1,000
plus 50% bonus = 500
Total = 1500
Now, I get
Triple = 3000?
Base plus triple bonus = 1,000 + 3,000 = 4,000?
Base plus Diamond bonus plus triple bonus = 1,000+500+3,000=4,500?

1 x base points + 2 x base points = 3 x base points.
So for a rate of USD 100 you get 1,000+500+2,000=3,500.
Btw: For a stay from April 30 to May 1 I've got the 2,000 extra points of the 2k promotion.

Overall you get triple base points. That means that the bonus is double base points.
1 x base points + 2 x base points = 3 x base points.
So for a rate of USD 100 you get 1,000+500+2,000=3,500.

Overall, it's 35 points/dollar.

Are people really going to change stays because they have a minor issue registering for a promo? It worked for me but let's assume it still won't for you. The Hilton FT person has indicated you can PM her your HHonors # and she will verify and/or register you. That will take all of 30 seconds and that's less time than cancelling and rebooking. Marriott IT is no shining star either.
