What is the upgrade charge for the buffet for golds and diamonds?

Is the lounge just for check in and check out or will there also be beverages and snacks available?

Thanks for responding Nicole!

As for Valentines day, please report back about what you did/did not have to pay for and what access you were granted. I'm very interested to see!

All Hiltons and DLs Required to have EL- Trop Response?

I wonder how this will be treated at the Trop, if true?

But what kind of "lounge" is it? She only mentioned that Diamond members can check-in/out at the lounge.

Yes this question has been asked a few times, yet there has not been a clear answer.....

"She only mentioned that Diamond members can check-in/out at the lounge." should give you a clue.

Exactly my point. I would expect more from a true Executive Lounge than check in/out services, such as breakfast, all day refreshments, and with any luck some sort of HH beverage and warm snack services.

As I said from my first post this is not about the doubletree/trop. It is about Hilton's false statements about its Hhonors program and its lack of corporate control of its franchisees. To me it means they sold out for the extra space in Vegas and if they are violating their own rules in this manner where else do they allow franchisees to violate policies? Safety? Food quality? Employee background checks?

And what about my lounge access? The T&C clearly state I am to get lounge access, not just for check in and check out regardless of if I am on an exec floor or not. One of the few benefits to achieving Diamond over gold is guaranteed lounge access.

If you aren't going to give us all day lounge access, then give us a full breakfast or buffet. Outside of no resort fee (which should be waived anyway for the top tier at any hotel chain), as a diamond, there are no additional benefits being offered to us.

The VIP lounge last time I was in it was very nice.

Hopefully Hilton will give us full access to it seeing it is in the T&C. As I stated before I would have no problems if they decided to charge us the resort fee if we had access to the lounge. Mrs. Reds and I could easilly drink and eat $20 a day there. And for diamonds who are travelling with kids or happen to be ages 18 to 20, give two buffets a day in lieu of lounge access since they won't be able to get in (IIRC you have to be 21 to enter).

You are right. There will probably be a special Elite line that allows us to check in, but keeps us out from all the amenities.... After all they would not want the Hilton's elite riff raff mingling with the VIP's of the Tropicana Casino.....

If that's the case, I would rather just have a dedicated line for diamonds at the front desk. Would make more sense for both diamonds and for the hotel. Diamonds wouldn't have to wait in the longer general line if they are doing a late night check in after the lounge is closed, and if there are no diamonds in the line that clerk can just grab the next guest in the general line.

I wish every large property would have a special lane for diamonds to check in at like Hyatt does at their larger properties for their diamonds isntead of just a line for any HH member.

I thank Te trip for making the right choice on waiving the resort fee for diamonds and will tell you this is enough to make me give the triop a try next tie I am o Vegas
I apologize, again for any confusion and you will have access to the VIP Lounge as a Diamond member. We will ensure that as a Diamond member, you are treated with the VIP status you deserve. -Nicole
