During my last stay I wasn't disturbed by the trains or road traffic (had a room facing the road and rail tracks)

I last stayed here pre-pandemic and now have booked again for a late arrival/early departure.
One of the draws was the free airport shuttle as advertised on the app but I’ve just found out that the shuttle is no more so now I either have to pay €20+ for a taxi one-way or get a train and walk for 10 minutes with luggage. Not good and I would of cancelled if I hadn’t locked myself into a decent prepay rate as I’m a few days before arrival. Plus I’ve been charged twice: once by the hotel and once by something called TVH Budget Schiphol. Same charge on the same date. Anyone have experience of walking to/from the train station to the hotel? |

Just a few minutes walk. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a4540dfccd.jpg |

Thank you for this. I read on TripAdvisor that when you get off the train that you don’t go towards the main exit but the exit in the opposite end. I assume this is the one you’re talking about?
Right next to a station with very good train connections, a local SPAR for wine, and a pizzeria downstairs. Also free breakfast as I remember it. |

That is correct. Instead, if not addicted to Hilton, try this!

Am planning on staying here before a morning flight and leaving my car for an inclusive parking rate until I return after 10 days as it is cheaper than the airport car parks.
Has anyone tried this? |

Yes, did this and it is NOT fun with a heavy suitcase. To make matters worse, it started raining after a few minutes! Plus there was some road construction going on, leading to the pavement near the hotel out of use.
In the recent months, I had to stay here twice, and all in all, still an OK hotel if the price is right, but outside of that, nothing really to go out of your way for. Cheers! |
A quick update from my recent stay.
the exit via steps at the opposite end of the platform seems a little quicker, however, you still have to walk the length of the platform to get to it as the train isn’t as long as the platform and stops closer to the main platform section. There are 2 straight flights of stairs with a total of approximately 35-40 steps. It’s well lit and you can see the red Hampton sign to use as a guide. The trains are very frequent. Breakfast starts at 6am but if you’re departing before then they will get a to go bag ready for you which I though my was a nice gesture. When I went down at 6am it was evident that people had already been down and eaten so they may have things setup earlier but no guarantee. |
I did ask if they had any plans to restart the airport shuttle and was given a clear no.

Staying here again for three nights booked as three separate but consecutive bookings .
No shuttle but the train is so convenient . Instead of leaving the station by the main entrance you can walk all the way along the platform to an exit right at the end , down a few steps and the Hampton is directly across the road . It’s very very quiet . Great staff . Room 508 so we can watch the planes . Huge amount of building at the back of the hotel currently . I have attached a room floor map which is much more accurate than the online one . A very reasonable breakfast for which you are asked to book a time slot All day coffee and tea help yourself and crockery https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...89ca05726.jpeg etc. As golds they have given us a mini bottle of wine and a snack each day and still given us the bonus points . They seem to be crediting each night separately. Asked for a late check out and given until 1600 For 61 euros a night it’s excellent value On the Hilton app the former looked a lot bigger but I'm guessing it's not to scale and the rooms are all the same actually? |
Pick the inner yard rooms to avoid road and railroad noise. Otherwise quite not much difference...

Staying here for one night for my early morning flight. In general not much has changed . Main changes are the public areas where it looks like they are trying to update to the new styles of Hampton Inn around Europe. Rooms are the same.

I remembered years ago that you still received complimentary/welcome drink and that went away and just bottles of water and selection from the pantry and later just bottles water. Today when checking in i was just last for words this is what i received https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...678a1af36d.jpg Welcome gift This coffee/tea accompanying stroopwafel that's maybe max 2 cents a pack..and was given with a smile from the agent.... Shuttle is still not available and is advertised as sustainable. Cheers |
Wow that's a very skimpy stroopwafel..... the mini single ones you get with a cofffee if you sit at a café.....
Thank you for your reporting on the shuttle .... that really helped out a lot for my planning ! |
