Will never stay at this hotel again!
Stayed at Hilton Dubai Creek for 5 nights during the end of Ramadan. The complimentary breakfast for Gold and Diamond member is now served at the lounge, not the restaurant downstairs. The breakfast at the lounge looks very depressed, and I already felt very sick of the breakfast on the 3rd day. I think the free breakfast at Hampton Inn in the United States looks much better than this! The breakfast that used to be served at the restaurant was much better. I don't understand why they changed the policy. I will not stay at this property again and might switch to Hilton Jumeirah; the breakfast at the lounge in Hilton Jumeirah has varieties of hot and cold dishes, and I never feel bored.
In addition, the reservation was made online at Hilton.com. I arrived very early morning at 5:00am (on Tuesday), but secured a room by booking an additional night for Monday with a note on the comment column "late arrival after midnight at 5am". When I checked in, the front desk asked me to sign on the paper slip for "NO SHOW". I asked him why I had to sign, and he said "Don't worry, just sign it, it is only for account purpose." When I checked out at the lounge, I asked the staff to make sure that the first night stay, point and night credits would be posted to my Hhonors account. He said the same thing as his colleague who checked me in that morning and told me not to worry, but I checked my Hhonors account few days later, it show only 4 qualifying nights!!! I hate people doing this kind of thing to me! I had late check in/arrival very often at different hotel worldwide due to awkward arrival time, and had never come across any hotel asking me to sign "NO SHOW". It was not a "No show", it was "LATE ARRIVAL"!!!

I have only stayed at this property in Ramadan and it was significantly better then the OP reports. It may well be that there is an element of inappropriate cost saving happening here.

I was told by the staff that breakfast would be served only at the lounge permanently for gold and diamond members, and it had nothing to do with Ramadan. They said it was a new policy and was started few weeks before Ramadan. The restuarant was still opened for buffet breakfast during Ramadan for the hotel guests who were not diamond or gold members or with breakfast included in the room rate. Well, I don't mind having breafast at the lounge, but at least put more different kind of food like what Hilton Jumeirah does at the lounge.

I clarified the change in breakfast policy for Gold/Diamond lounge breakfast a few posts back.....Guests staying on the Executive Floor (paid and upgrades) will not now be automatically entitled to Breakfast in the Glasshouse Restaurant Breakfast must be taken in the Exec Lounge only. I spoke to one of the management regarding this and was told that there would be "discretion applied for regulars" but this is the new policy as of 4-6 weeks ago - the charges were removed from my bill.........I still say this hotel is one of the best.....give it another try.

HH Diamond treatment?
I may stay here for three nights in March, over a weekend.
What's the treatment like for HH Diamonds at the hotel (on paid stays)? I understand from the above posts that breakfasts are in the lounge and free, but not very good. Also, is there free internet access? And what are the chances of upgrades?
Thanks for any info.

I'm a Silver these days, so can't help with Diamond question. Still, I have stayed there 5 times in the last 11 months, and I like the place. Admittedly, I'm there less than 24 hours each time, so that's probably not a great foundation to make comments, but I've never had a bad experience there. The breakfast in the restaurant is terrific, imo. (Altho, admittedly, I've been living in Afghanistan the last 11 months, so going to Dubai is a real treat.) tls

I received a two room corner suite upgrade, complementary continental breakfast included sweet rolls, various meats and cheese in the Executive Lounge (also M level ). Snacks available during the day with heated snacks at 5PM. Free wired internet in room and wireless in the lounge. Requested and received a 4PM checkout and had continuing access to the lounge while waiting for my evening flight. Attentive service throughout my visit.
Roof top pool has great views, good service, but no hotel wifi service.
I think you'll enjoy your visit.

best in Dubai
For me the best hotel inside Dubai, almost a boutique hotel.
The view on the creek, especially from the pool terracce is phenomenal.
But again and again I had problems with differences between my reservations and the invoice.

I wanted to make a correction......
Apparently it is not your Diamond status that gives you free airport transfers, but the room type. I received this reply when I questioned the 100 AED fee for airport pickup next month:
"We are still offering transfers with no extra cost if you are booked on one of our Executive rooms or Suites as what you have booked for your last stay on January. As you are now booked for a Deluxe room, the transfers are available at our regular rate of AED 100.00 per car per way."
Sorry for the misinformation earlier.

I stayed there on 31 January. Diamond can request complementary airport transfers. Diamond check in on the "M" level, bypassing the lobby registration desk.

Just back from a three night stay at Hilton Dubai Creek.
Taxi from airport to hotel was 36 dirham (US$9.80) which includes a 20 dirham airport flag drop. On the return the fare was 16 dirham.
I arrived at the hotel around 9:00pm following my flight from Doha. I wasn't aware of the protocol for Gold HH members and attempted to check-in at the front desk. Upon learning my name the front desk clerk instructed the bellman to escort me to the executive lounge on the Mezzanine level for my check-in. I was offered something to drink while going through the check-in formalities.
I booked my stay using the Blackstone discount (I actually work for a Blackstone company) and was given a king room on a regular floor (room 808) overlooking the creek. On the desk in my room was a small fruit basket with a personalized welcome note from the hotel manager. Some towels were cleverly folded into an elephant on a table and a souvenir rubber globe with the Hilton Dubai Creek marked with a dot on it sat on the elephant's head.
The lounge breakfast was adequate for me with a selection of cold cuts, cereal, breads and fruits. There were also some hot items but I wasn't interested in those.
Definitely go to the rooftop pool for a magnificent view of Dubai Creek as well as the Dubai skyline including the Burj Khalifa building off in the distance.
Overall an excellent Hilton property with good service and friendly staff. However I'm not 100% convinced that I liked the location; on arrival to Dubai the previous week I stayed at the Ibis City Centre which as a short walk to the subway and shopping mall - that was very convenient. There didn't seem to be very much around the Hilton Dubai Creek although I did find a convenience store "behind" the hotel approximately a block away. There is also a 24 hour ATM at the bank next door.

The location is clearly not in one of the major tourist area of Dubai, but is close to a lot of businesses etc. There is a large shopping mall (City Centre Mall) within a very few minutes (cab) or a nice walk (in suitable months). There is a free shuttle running a.m./p.m. to the Jumeirah Beach Hilton & it's facilities - including the beach - 30 minute drive. A 15 minute walk from Creek Hilton brings you to a myriad of reastaurants/bars in both the Creek Sheration & Radisson (all decent dining & of course bars are in hotels in this region). Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall are within 20 minutes drive. Taxis are dirt cheap. Enjoy.
