I have seen the odd 3 beds in a room, usually is awkward and overcrowded.

Bunk beds in an alcove are also not unheard of eg Hilton Sandestin (FL.) They are meant for kids but an adult under 5' 9" could sleep comfortably.

Never seen the triple room setup in the USA and only seen it in Asia. This is an example of what it has always looked like when I have seen it, https://www.chatrium.com/maitria/suk...iple-room.html This is of course really three singles which I have always assumed was just for adults traveling together as I would think families would just prefer two double beds. We don't have kids so just all assumptions on my part.

It would be most helpful to learn what exactly OP needs. E.g., three full-sized adults in the room? Two adults and a small child?

While I am certain that such rooms exist on a one-off basis, they certainly are not advertised and are likely foisted onto traveling groups and the like. If having three beds as opposed to 2 + couch / rollaway is essential, OP will need to call individual properties to determine availability and cost.

Even having a third person in a room may be problematic and may incur significant charges or be prohibited altogether.

The general option is a connecting room or a suite where there is a third bed somewhere. For those, it is always worth a call to the local property to determine whether that second room can be had at a discount.

We are 3 adults and wont be making love together, hence the need for 3 beds.
We would be happy to have a twin room with two beds and a sofa/rollaway as extra, but even that seems none xisting in London. Done that thousand times elsewhere.

Some iof the Travelodges in London have rooms that can accommodate three separate beds. Central Waterloo has a room with a king size bed and they can add two additional beds. This might work There are othes I found also.

They exist in some hotels in Europe too, just rather rare.

I’ve had them in central Rome and Paris, amongst other places in Europe:

Two double beds and a rollaway in a room for 3 adults.

Three single beds in a room for 3 adults.

One double/queen/king bed and a single or rollaway/convertible bed in a room for 3 adults,

If sold out on the hotel website, see if you can find it via an OTA like hotels, com or booking, com or some other OTA as a prepaid rate.

I came across 3-bed options while planning my next getaway to the UK/Ireland, but the hotels were independents or local brands vs international brands. Travelodge isn't HIlton, but it offers rooms "suitable for three adults."

I have stayed in a three bed triple at The Hilton London Gatwick not truly London, I realize! I used 3 adults, 1 room in the search on the Hilton app, and there were many properties that popped up...but to find the three beds, you had to look through the offerings from each property.

The Hilton London Bankside has a family room with three beds, and you all also get Fox onesies...
