points for comp'd stay

points for comp'd stay
I often stay at the Las Vegas Hilton as part of comped stay for gambling play. Is it possible to get points too? I'll be there for New Years and was curious if anyone has ever tried.

I stay at the LV Hilton about 3 times per year ( and the last 2 New Years) as " guest of the casino" = comped, as recently as Nov 14 2001 got Hilton stay credit, points for incidental charges to room, double AA miles, National car points etc.
Make SURE to have them put your Hhonors number on the folio when you check in and charge at least a few dollars to the room which you are sure your casino host will not comp ( purchase in the Gift Shop will do it)
Enjoy New Years the Hilton usually puts on a good party for its casino guests decent dinner, lots of free booze etc had to cancel this year due to family illness.

I always buy a few items from the coffee/pastry place across from check-in (next to the steps by the casino), and then get a copy of my folio (to make certain that all comps have cleared, and just in case I need something to fax to HHonors). Unlike the gift shop, the purchase posts right then. Also, I have never had tips comped, so these have worked as well.
