Lounge spookily open?
Stayed for a few nights in November - overall a pretty decent stay (upgrade processed on arrival, few nice surprises here and then), but thought the lounge situation was quite strange. We were told in advance by email that it was closed and also upon checking in. Asked a few times during the stay if it was open - each time being told it was indeed closed.
Went for an explore and found that the lounge was "open" - unlocked, lights on, and a fully stocked bar (including a range of bottles sitting in fresh ice). However, it was spookily empty with no guests nor employees. We saw a few temporary signs referring to "APEX", which is the top tier of Sands' loyalty programme. I wonder if they've repurposed the lounge temporarily?

If you read back through the thread there are plenty of recent experiences.

Amazes me that they opt for such a short selling window. We need to book for early July, so less than five months out and still not taking bookings beyond end of June. This has been the same for a month.
I appreciate this is normal behaviour here, but when one has all their flights and excursions sorted, the temptation is now to book elsewhere to finalise our trip arrangements.

Breakfast is served in the area, which was lounge before. Did you get an upgrade? Hope, you enjoyed your stay. We liked the property.

Wow, the EL closing is devastating. It was hands down the best EL I have ever been to (minus the non-existent view). The EL was one of the top reasons why we chose to stay at the Conrad Macao again and again pre-covid.

Agreed. The EL stood out at this property for sure. I thought the gutting of lounges was just in the US but guess it is getting contagious.
