What happened to those with $0 rate?

i am wondering what happened to those with the $0 YVR Metrotown rate, some say in the other thread that they got a call from the hotel and will call them back.

We never did hear what happeneded... would like to find out!

I finally called about my $0 reservation. I was offered a rate of 109CAD (as opposed to the regular rate of 159), a free upgrade, and some additional hhonors points. I wasn't really that interested in going to Vancouver anyway, and I didn't feel like arguing to get an even lower rate, so I canceled the reservation. However, I'm quite sure that I could have argued down to an even lower rate if I wanted to.
