Escalade and Navigators...
Renting in Florida at two different places at I have reserved a Navigator at PBI and an Escalade at RSW. Both were week day rentals for 3 days. Both came back at 68 and some change a day with unlimited mileage. A Full size was 59 and some change a day. A Premium was 83 a day.
I will take a 70K Escalade over a 30K Grand Marq. any day. Especially for less money...
Is Hertz discounting these to get some more rentals with high gas prices? Never seen these for under a hundred day hardly ever, usually 150 a day from places I go often. And most of the time with a mileage cap...

If you're ready to pay $70K for an Escalade, 1200 dealers nationwide really want to hear from you.
Rate adjustments reflect supply and demand. There's no good way to morph an Escalade into a Nissan Versa getting 35mpg.

Well the Plat. Escalade starting MSRP is 80K and 83K for the ESV. I am sure Hertz rents "base" Escalade's. They are 65K base MSRP...
I was just talking from a rental perspective. Much rather pay less and get a 40K more expensive vehicle...

While I don't disagree with your logic, I don't think anyone has paid MSRP for a GM vehicle in at least 10 years!!! The GM website is currently offering the Escalade at $56K without any negotiation.
