Mini in SFO??

I'll be in the Bay Area next month, and I was idly looking through the cars on offer at SFO when I noticed a "Mini Sports Car". There's no link to describe what it is, but it costs ~$85/weekend day. Is this an actual Mini?

Yup, I saw 4 or 5 in the garage on Wednesday.

In general SFO is pretty good about having some unusual metal available from time to time.

Only hitch is that it's nearly impossible to confirm a reservation for one of these interesting rides for anything more than a day. Trying to book a weekly rental nearly always results in a "not available" message. Hidden meaning - we've got neat cars, but you're going to pay through the nose to rent 'em.

Anyway, yes SFO has Mini's.

These guys also rent Minis in San Francisco. I thought maybe they'd be cheaper, but looks like the $85/weekend day is the same, although it's unlimited miles. (They are only $65/day for midweek.) Other interesting stuff too. http://www.cityrentacar.com/exotic-cars.html

I seem to remember a cheap place I found last year when I was checking for something like a Mini to rent. Not sure if City was the one I remember or not. (I couldn't use it because we wanted to one-way to PDX. Just got a Mazda 6 from Hertz.)
